MOZA R3 Bundle vs R5 Pro Bundle

Manufacturer specifications checked · UK buying advice

MOZA R3 Racing Bundle (PC & XBOX) — manufacturer product photograph

Quick answer

Choose the R3 bundle if you play on Xbox: its included ESX wheel is Xbox-licensed, so it works on Xbox and PC. Choose the R5 Pro bundle if you race only on PC and want more torque (6 Nm against 3.9 Nm) and the newer SR-P Lite2 pedals. The R5 Pro bundle does not support Xbox or PlayStation as supplied.

Xbox decides it for most people

On MOZA, Xbox support comes from the steering wheel, not the base. The R3 bundle includes the Xbox-licensed ESX wheel, which is why it works on Xbox. The R5 Pro bundle ships with the ES Lite wheel, so as supplied it is a PC bundle. Neither bundle is a PlayStation product, and we do not recommend unofficial console adapters.

Torque: 3.9 Nm vs 6 Nm

Both are direct drive bases, so detail comes straight from the motor without gears or belts. The R5 Pro's 6 Nm peak gives more headroom for strong kerbs, slides and impacts. Most drivers do not race at full strength, but more headroom lets you keep detail at lower settings. These figures are MOZA's published peak torque, not our own test results.

Pedals: SR-P Lite vs SR-P Lite2

Each bundle has a two-pedal set: the R3 bundle includes SR-P Lite, the R5 Pro bundle includes the newer SR-P Lite2. If you plan to upgrade pedals later, check MOZA's compatibility chart for your exact base revision before buying add-ons.

Desk or cockpit?

MOZA lists its Table Clamp as compatible with R3, R5, R9 and R12 bases on desks up to 50 mm thick, so the R3 bundle is a realistic desk setup. A sturdy desk matters: if it moves under braking, a cockpit is the next upgrade.
